OUR FACULTY

Director

Mrs. Anderson 2024.JPG

I have been with Shepherd of the Valley Preschool since 2012 as an assisting and lead teacher and have been the Director since 2022.  I have taught in all of the classrooms in the 3s, 4s, and Pre-K.  We have so much fun and the children brighten every day.  You never know what they are going to say or do...no two days are ever the same!

I love that we are a traditional Preschool and get the opportunity to provide the children that enter our doors with an excitement for going to school.  We are blessed to share our love for learning with them and honored to join our preschool families in the beginning of their child's educational journey.

I have been with Sheperd of the Valley Preschool for the last 5 years, both as a parent, and a representative on the Preschool Ministry Board assisting in business decisions and school operations.

I am now proud to have two alumni students and be able to become even more involved in such an amazing place. I am excited to be a support to both our passionate teaching staff and the bright and inquisitive students we welcome here every day.

I am blessed to have cared for and educated little ones for over 24 years and have been working at Shepherd of the Valley Preschool since 2012.  I love the close family atmosphere here... between the staff, the children, and the wonderful families.

We have so much fun in the 3s classroom learning while we play!  I am thankful to be a part of the smiles, joy, and laughter of the children every day and grateful to be able to share my love of learning with the kids.

Two of my children attended preschool at SOV and had an amazing start to their educational journeys.  I am excited that I get to continue to provide the same opportunity for the children that come to our preschool!

Mrs. Rose

Lead Teacher

Hi, I’m Nicole Rose and this will be my second year teaching at SOV Preschool. My son attended the 3s and 4s classes, and is now moving onto kindergarten.

I loved the atmosphere and experience so much as a parent that I felt the need to be apart of this wonderful community at SOV.

I have been with my husband for 23 years… we are true high school sweethearts. We have 3 children: 14yr old girl, 11yr old girl and 5yr old boy. We are an active family and are die hard San Diego Padres fans!

I am excited to share my love for children and learning in this role in the 3s classroom. My motto has and will always be “regulation before expectation.” I believe in the power of play based learning and making it fun for everyone!

Lead Teacher 4s M-Th AM

Hello!  My name is Shelly Mahon, and I am so excited to be teaching in the 4s classroom at Shepherd of the Valley Preschool.  While this is my first year at Shepherd of the Valley, I have spent many years working as a classroom assistant in both preschool and elementary classrooms.  Those experiences have strengthened my love for teaching and helping children learn through play, discovery, and meaningful relationships.

I have been married for many years, and together we have three grown children.  One of our greatest joys is spending time with our four wonderful grandchildren.  When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy traveling, baking, and spending time with my family.
